Time's winged chariot moves swiftly on - More than two hundred years ago, in what is today one of the most pristine rural areas, visitors came by the thousands to visit the many natural springs. Where the healing waters flowed, grand resort hotels and stagecoach taverns flourished. Some still operate today, others are abandoned, but their vast edifices and cool spring houses still whisper of past grandeur. Of some, only memories and history remain.

Gone are the days of the tally-ho, the covered wagons and the lore of the magic healing waters of the Springs, which were once frequented by persons of nobility. With the invention of faster modes of transportation, the need for inns and taverns which were so prominent in the last centuries are a thing of the past.

But, history does repeat itself - In the little community of Earlehurst, approximately 100 years later, The Logge Cabbin Inn (Old Earlehurst Bed & Breakfast) was raised. The Inn sits on the same site as the Historic Old Earlehurst Stagecoach Tavern, built by Mary Fredrick and Isabelle Wells in the late 1800's. Located close to the Sweet Springs Valley, it is rich in history and is in close proximity to Lewisburg, White Sulphur Springs, and Union, West Virginia. This truly is the best of the Lewisburg Hotels.
